I Voted Today
Here is a quick a dirty short song I wrote on Kansas primary day, August 1, 2006, when less than 20% of people voted. If you want to change the world, you have to vote, and get all your friends and neighbors to vote. It's a civic duty for cryin out loud! Pass this song on to your friends who don't vote. Maybe they will next time.
Chorus
I voted today
I made my freedom count
I voted today
I made my freedom count
I did my civic duty
Instead of just hangin' out
Verse
You say it don't matter
You claim they're all the same
You say your vote don't matter
Because they're all the same
The Power hopes you believe that
They don't want you playin' their game
Chorus
You say there ain't no difference
I think Bush proved that wrong
You say there ain't no difference
Well Bush done proved that wrong
Both sides may like money
But one side's doin' us wrong
Chorus
I did my civic duty
Instead of just copin' out
I voted today
Did you?

good song Jim,
I like how you end it. You got that in your face gravelly sound.
